BINHI: Early Childhood Program
Giving infants and young children from low-income communities a strong and healthy start in life through parenting education and skill-building.
Why the Early Years Matter
Healthy development in the early years of life provides the building blocks for lifelong health, educational achievement, and responsible citizenship.
Center on the Developing Child (2010). The Foundations of Lifelong Health Are Built in Early Childhood. Retrieved from Developing Child.
The single most common factor for children who develop resilience is at least one stable and committed relationship with a supportive parent, caregiver, or other adult. These relationships provide the loving attention, support, and safety that children need to thrive despite adversity.
