Kaloob: Low-fee Therapy Services

Over the past year, Circle of Hope has shifted gears to provide mental health services and psychoeducation through online channels. We conducted wellbeing events and webinars, offered mental health support for frontliners, and so much more. Since the pandemic started, we have received an influx of inquiries for counseling and therapy sessions, and so Project Kaloob was born.

Why “Kaloob”?

Our dear Sr. Cecilia suggested the name kaloob not just because it directly translates to “gift or offering” but also because it could stand for “shared core”—Ka-Loob.

Sign-up procedures

Kaloob is a low-fee teletherapy program for low-income individuals, provided by clinicians in training. As such, we have an application process in place to ensure that we cater to population we sought out to serve. Here is the process:

  1. Download and accomplish the application form
  2. Have a community representative (e.g. referring doctor, school teacher, parish priest, pastor, barangay official) sign the endorsement form
  3. Email the application form to coh.kaloob@gmail.com
  4. Wait for an email or SMS regarding the approval of the application.

Fees

  • One teletherapy session costs Php750, which will be a donation to Circle of Hope Community Services Inc.
  • Donations will be coursed through the COH GCash account.
